The Unicorn Dream
The happening is inspired by an image of unicorns in medieval and renaissance cultures and suggests Gorky Park visitors to engage with an imaginary space of the Rose Garden, which turns into a fantasy world for one day, when the unicorn is not sleeping in rose bushes and listens to the dreams of the visitors. The visitors are to go through a ritual: count 90 roses, make a wish and tie a ribbon in one of the pavillions around the fountain. With every pink ‘breath’ of the unicorn the wishes ‘fly away’ from the fantasy land to become true.
